If you are not already aware the AGM is scheduled to be held at 10:00AM on Sunday 13 September 2020 at the Hillarys Yacht Club. All documents pertaining to the AGM has been sent out via email last week, however if you have not received them please contact the Club so that we can forward the papers to you as only the Order of Business will be available on the day.
Amendments to the “Order of Business” document which have been sent out to all financial members via email in order to expedite the AGM.
It is important to note that due to the delay in the implementation of Phase 5 as outlined below, the Harbour Room will be limited to 225 persons with any overflow being accommodated in the Marina Room. Thank you for your understanding during these difficult times.
To ensure the smooth running of the AGM and to remain focussed on the Order of Business I have decided to hold an “Informing Night” at 6PM on Wednesday 9th September 2020. This is NOT a formal meeting or a substitute for the AGM and as such no minutes will be taken or motions accepted. The focus will be on the “Financials, The Investigations and The Roadmap to Recovery – A Two Year Plan”. In order to try and cover as much of the subject matters as possible I ask for your cooperation and request that you forward any questions to me at email@example.com no later than Monday 7 September 2020 so that I can be in a position to provide you with the relevant information in a timely manner. The restaurant will not be opened however the bar will remain open until 10:00PM and the night is restricted to financial members of the Hillarys Yacht Club.
The renovations upstairs are progressing and we currently are looking at opening the upstairs area on or about “Opening Day” for limited services. This is due to the fact that it is impracticable to have the new carpet installed until the area has been completely waterproofed and the past practice of operating 2 separate kitchens is not an option in our current environment.
Some good news on the horizon is that our dining menus are being refreshed and the first cab of the rank will be breakfast! Having had a sneak peek at the menu recently I am confident that it will be a great change with some interesting options! The refreshment of the lunch and dinner menus will take place in the coming weeks.
I am currently looking for sponsors who wish to purchase a “dining table for life”. The dining table will consist of an 800 x 800 Western Australian custom made solid timber hardwood (chestnut or similar) top and four dining chairs. The table top will have the sponsors logo laser cut into the tabletop and hence the “dining table for life.” If you are interested or aware of any sponsor who may be interested then please let me know as there will be limited tables available.
The Hillarys Fuel Facility will be handed back on the 1st September 2020 and all current member rebates will cease however we are currently negotiating what rebates may be available for members in the future.
