The 2021 Fremantle to Exmouth Race and Rally has been organised by the FSC and is a CAT 2 Offshore Race.  HY13 Bravehearts is participating in the event in the Rally section. HY46 Lithium skippered by Wayne Pitcher will be in the Racing division. The event currently has 16 Rally and  Race 22 boats registered.

The passage from FSC to Exmouth is 700nm.  Bravehearts will be departing HYC on 6 May for FSC for the mandatory safety briefing in Fremantle and plan to depart FSC for Exmouth on 7 May.

The expected transit is 6 -7 Day with an arrival date of circa 13 May. The planned return is 15 May with an expected arrival 22 May.

Bravehearts is a Bavaria 34’ purchased by Rod Sweet in Feb 2016. Bravehearts will have a crew of four. Please don’t underestimate the power (and comfort) of a cruising boat; in 2019, SoPYC awarded them the Navigators Trophy for the Geraldton Ocean Classic.

Skippered by Rod Sweet Rear Commodore Marina Facilities. The crew (Team) consist of:

  • Ken Collett HYC, who crews for Mulberry, Whispering Jack and others within the club.
  • Andrew Aiton North Beach RSL crewed on Bravehearts for the 2019 Geraldton Ocean Classic.
  • Kathryn Braysich  Geraldton Yacht Club also sailed on Bravehearts for the 2019 Geraldton Ocean Classic.
  • Stuart Marks HYC TOSCA will be joining Bravehearts for the return trip in place of Kathy.

We hope that members of HYC will take an interest in this event and follow the progress of Bravehearts, her crew and the rest of the fleet on Yellow Brick Tracker.
