Members will be pleased to know that the first-floor kitchen works are due to commence on Monday 14 June and will continue through until Friday 2 July. These works include demolition of existing and a new floor being installed, some electrical, plumbing and gas works and miscellaneous operational changes.

During this time there is expected to be minimal disruptions to Members, however, the following should be noted:

  • There will be a number of car parking bays reserved for rubbish removal and contractors use, located outside of the Club reception and adjacent to the existing waste bins.
  • A makeshift temporary kitchen with a skeleton fleet of equipment will be set up in the southwest corner of the Members Bar. This will allow the Club to continue servicing existing function bookings in the Harbour room during this period.
  • The Member Bars will be closed on Saturday 12, 19 and 26 June.

Once the building works are completed, we anticipate a further wait period for the new equipment and fit-out to occur. At this stage, equipment delivery and fit-out are scheduled to commence week beginning 19 July and this will be monitored with the supplier in coming weeks.

The Club is now working on the most efficient operation of what will be a new and fully functional first-floor kitchen to deliver Member dining once again upstairs from the completion of the project. Further updates will be provided in the coming weeks.
