Pot Of Gold 2025

Hillarys Yacht Club welcomes sailors to take part in the 2025 Mitsubishi Electric Pot of Gold Weekend being held in the Western Australian coastal waters between Fremantle and Hillarys on 18-19 January 2025.

In its 33rd year, The Pot of Gold weekend includes the HYC Pot of Gold race from Fremantle to Hillarys around Rottnest, the shorter Dash for Cash, racing along the coast from Fremantle to Hillarys and, this year for the first time, a five race Series for Western Australia’s Super 30 fleet.

The weekend is a favourite for competitors on all size boats with the Category 4 Pot of Gold race attracting the Ocean Racing WA fleet and Western Australia’s smaller inshore fleet enjoying the escorted Category 6 Dash for Cash along the Coast.

HYC always enjoys welcoming our guest sailors as they dock with welcome drinks to start the Saturday night celebrations on the boardwalk. Presentations are planned for 5.00 pm with live music, drinks and food available over the bar.

On Sunday, with the Super 30’s continuing their series, the offshore boats are invited to participate in the return Shepherdess Cup back to Fremantle. Presentations for the Shepherdess Cup and Super 30’s Series will be held that afternoon at Fremantle Sailing Club approximately one hour after the last boat finishes.
