Indemnity & Risk Waiver

I acknowledge that there are risks involved with any aquatic environment and accordingly release Hillarys Yacht Club and any of their employees, volunteers or agent from any liability, including personal injury, death, financial loss or damage of personal belongings. Bookings cancelled within 48 hours will not be refunded and any cancellations made on the day of scheduled lesson by staff will be re-scheduled for a later date. I understand that I/my child/ren may be photographed and/or videoed by the Hillarys Yacht Club, Australian Sailing, parents/spectators whilst participating in the training course or club organised events and I hereby authorise these photographs and/or videos to be used in publications approved by the Hillarys Yacht Club and Australian Sailing. If the student is under 18 years of age, I as the parent/guardian authorise my child to take part in a training course with Hillarys Yacht Club. This course is dependent on weather and participation. It will be to the discretion of HYC to postpone this course if deemed unsafe or minimal attendance. Where used, I agree that incorrect use of, or malicious damage to, Club equipment (including inflatable lifejackets) may result in additional charges to replace equipment where I, or my children, are responsible for the damage. I agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of the ISAF and by all other rules that govern the event and I acknowledge that Rule 4 Decision to Race, places the sole responsibility for deciding whether or not to start or to continue racing on the boat.If the sailor is under 18 years of age, I as the parent/guardian authorise my child to take part in sailing/racing with Hillarys Yacht Club and agree to all of the above.

Privacy

I acknowledge that my personal information is collected for the following purposes: Communications relevant to your registration/race/enquiry/purchase, Race reporting, safety and emergency procedures, Insurance cover and registration fees. This may be disclosed to Club Officers/employees/representatives and Australian Sailing for the above reasons.
