To ensure that all images can be printed for display in the best way we need them submitted in standard size and format

1. All images must be in jpeg
2. Images can be in portrait or landscape
3. IMPORTANT Image Size – The longest side must be 1100 pixels. The short side should therefore be 825 pixels
4. Rename your image. Give it something arty eg. ‘Sunsets over Sails’ and also include your name.
5. All entries must be submitted to: [email protected]

Resizing

If you are unsure how to do this, then the following method for Windows PC’s will get you there.

1. Right-click the image in its folder and select ‘Open with...Paint’.
2. On the top menu at the left-hand end, select ‘Resize’.
3. In the pop-out window under the “Resize’ panel, check the box to resize by: Pixels.
4. Make sure the ‘Maintain Aspect’ box is checked.
5. In the box that has the largest number type this to read ‘1100’. The smaller number should adjust to around 825 pixels.
6. Click ‘OK and then click ‘Save’ or Save as’ if you want to keep the original image size.

Note:
If your image started with a number much lower than 1100 on its biggest side then in all likelihood it may not be suitable for entry as it will be too grainy when printed.
